Bellarine Bayside Foreshore Committee of Management (Bellarine Bayside) has announced the appointment of Scott Crabtree as CEO, effective 26 October 2024.
Bellarine Bayside’s Committee of Management unanimously approved the appointment of Mr Crabtree following a national search.
Chair Melanie Rogers said the Committee is thrilled to have attracted a candidate of Mr Crabtree’s calibre and is looking forward to welcoming him to the role.
“Scott has extensive industry experience in public land management, combined with strong leadership skills and willingness to collaboratively with others. With his considered approach and personable nature, we are confident that Scott is well placed to lead the organisation into the future, Ms Rogers said.
“We are looking forward to working with Scott to ensure Bellarine Bayside continues to excel as a coastal land manager”.
Scott brings a wealth of experience in planning, strategy, people leadership and project management in a public land management setting developed over the past 26 years. He is currently Bellarine Bayside’s Planning and Environment Manager and has previously held leadership roles at Parks Victoria and the City of Greater Geelong.
Commenting on the appointment, Scott said he is delighted to be selected for the role.
“Bellarine Bayside is a leader in coastal land management, with a skilled team that is focused on working in partnership with the community and stakeholders to preserve and enhance the coast and provide outstanding experiences for all who use it, said Mr Crabtree.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the Committee, staff and community alike who value the coast so dearly, building on past successes and deliver for the future.”
Scott takes over the position from Bruce Elliot, who is retiring in October and has led Bellarine Bayside since July 2020.
